Couple on a weekend break died in hotel fire
A couple on a weekend break from London were named yesterday as the victims of a fire that swept through the five-star Cameron House Hotel on the banks of Loch Lomond.
Friends and family members paid tribute to Simon Midgley, 32, a freelance journalist, and his partner Richard Dyson, a TV producer, who died in Monday morning’s blaze.
Mr Midgley’s sister, Nicky, said on Facebook: “This dreadful tragedy has taken two amazing beautiful hearted soul mates from me, my heartbroken Mum and brother.”
Firefighters were still dealing with the blaze 24 hours after it started. The cause is not yet known.
