Serena asks for help over baby’s teething

TENNIS star Serena Williams has been chronicling the trials of caring for a baby on her Twitter feed, and has been using social media to ask her followers for help.

Her first child, Alexis Olympia Ohanian, was born in September, and has begun teething.

Proving motherhood can still be a struggle even if you are one of the world’s top athletes, Ms Williams described herself as “so stressed” as she tried to console her baby through the teething process.

She wrote to her 10 million followers: “Teething – aka the devil – is so hard. Poor Alexis Olympia has been so uncomfortable. I had to hold her until she fell asleep.

“I’ve tried amber beads... cold towels .... homoeopathic water (lol on that one) but .... nothing is working. I almost need my mom to come and hold me to sleep cause I’m so stressed. Help? Anyone??”
