Woman fails to evict late mother’s live-in lover, 93
A woman has lost a legal bid to have her late mother’s elderly partner removed from the home they shared for two decades.
Lynn Lewis tried to stop the house in Twyning Green, Tewkesbury, from being transferred to wealthy 93-yearold Thomas Warner, who had lived there for almost 20 years with Audrey Blackwell before her death in 2014.
Mrs Lewis went to the Court of Appeal in London to try to reverse an earlier ruling allowing Mr Warner, who has lived in the Gloucestershire village all his life, to stay in the house and buy it for £385,000.
