‘Savage’ knife killer’s jail term extended
♦ A homeless man who murdered two members of a family who took pity on him by letting him into their home has had his “unduly lenient” sentence extended.
Three appeal court judges ruled that Aaron Barley’s 30-year jail term be extended by four years. In October, Barley, 24, was jailed for life after admitting knifing to death Tracey Wilkinson, 50, and her 13-year-old son Pierce and the attempted murder of Peter Wilkinson, 47, at their home in Barley in Stourbridge, West Midlands, in March. He stabbed them as they slept in their beds in a “savage” attack.
