Green brought down
sir – Damian Green has been sacked as the First Secretary of State for breaking the ministerial code of conduct (report, December 21).
The policeman who informed us all about the pornography found on a computer in Mr Green’s parliamentary office did so against the police code of conduct. Since he is already retired he cannot be sacked. What, then, can be done to dissuade other retired police from divulging sensitive information they have learnt in the course of their duties?
New Radnor
sir – I am tiring of the witch (or warlock) hunt going on in Parliament.
I hope it won’t be too long before a male MP reveals the offers of sexual favours he’s received from female politicians or other women in Parliament. Don’t tell me there haven’t been any.
