Bomb squad disposes of terror raid ‘material’
An Army bomb disposal squad carried out a controlled explosion after a search of an address in Chesterfield following terror raids on Tuesday.
Police said a single controlled explosion took place yesterday afternoon to “safely dispose of material found at the property”.
Counter-terrorism officers had been searching the address following raids in Chesterfield and Sheffield on Tuesday in which four men – aged 22, 31, 36 and 41 – were arrested. Officers have been granted until Christmas Day to charge them.
