Labour voters may ditch party over Brexit stance

One in four Labour voters could ditch the party over its stance on Brexit, a Yougov poll suggests.

The poll, for the Best of Britain campaign group, found more than half of those surveyed oppose Labour’s support for Brexit. And 24 per cent indicated they would consider switching allegiances should the party continue its support.

Jeremy Corbyn and his front bench are under pressure to clarify their position on Britain’s departure from the EU, with many people confused on where it stands – 32 per cent of party Remain voters believe it is “completely against Brexit”, while 31 per cent think the opposite.
