Millennials ‘more likely’ to send Thank You cards
Young people are more likely than any other age to send Christmas Thank You cards, a Royal Mail survey claims.
According to the poll of 2,000 adults, 53 per cent of all 18 to 24-yearolds send appreciative letters to friends and family. In comparison, just 39.9 per cent of 45 to 54-year-olds and 42 per cent of over-55s send them.
David Gold, Royal Mail director of public affairs, said: “It seems clear that the effect of parents encouraging their children to write Thank You letters lasts well into adulthood. Although younger generations have grown up in a digital world, the findings suggest that they consider sending a letter to be more meaningful.”
