Households with poor connections

♦ 4 per cent of UK homes – or 1.1 million properties – do not have broadband speeds considered fast enough for daily use

♦ Of those homes unable to get decent broadband,

2 per cent are in urban areas and 17 per cent in rural

♦ 230,000 small businesses cannot receive decent broadband

♦ 8 per cent of homes do not get superfast broadband with download speeds of 24Mbit/s

♦ Only 3 per cent of premises get full fibre broadband (2017 Ofcom Connected Nations report)
