Head-on bus crash kills 36 in Kenya

Thirty-six people were killed and 11 injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a lorry in central Kenya at 3am yesterday, police said.

Zero Arome, the chief of Rift Valley traffic police, said the initial figure of 30 deaths in the accident on the Nakuru-eldoret highway had risen “after six passengers succumbed to injuries in hospital”.
