Countdown to a midnight murder

A man has been charged with murdering his mother after allegedly setting up a New Year countdown to her death on the internet.

The unnamed 34-year-old Frenchman posted online a Décapitation de Thérèse timeline to when Therese Hamelin, 61, of Remouillé, Nantes, would die. He then allegedly went to her New Year’s Eve party and at midnight slit her throat.
