Men charged after girl dies eating takeaway
Two men appeared in court yesterday charged with the manslaughter of a 15-year-old girl who suffered an allergic reaction to a takeaway meal.
Mohammed Abdul Kuddus, 39, from Blackburn, and Harun Rashid, 38, from Rossendale, both Lancs, appeared before Blackburn magistrates. They were also accused of failing in a duty to disclose the allergen content of a meal given to Megan Lee, from Oswaldtwistle, Lancs, at the Royal Spice in Hyndburn a year ago.
Magistrates referred the case to Burnley Crown Court for Feb 7.
