President hits out at ‘voter fraud’
Donald Trump has renewed his call for stricter voter identification, alleging fraudulent voting was used against him in the 2016 presidential election.
Without offering evidence, the US president repeated old accusations on Twitter, saying Democratic states had snubbed an election fraud commission that he had to disband. Although he won the race to the White House, he received 3million fewer votes than Hillary Clinton, his rival. Capitol Hill confirmed the commission’s closure.
