Joint military drills halted for Olympics
The Trump administration has agreed to delay joint military exercises with South Korea until after the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang next month, the Pentagon said yesterday.
It came as President Donald Trump attempted to take credit for the possible reopening of talks between Seoul and Pyongyang, tweeting: “Does anybody really believe that talks and dialogue would be going on between North and South Korea right now if I wasn’t … willing to commit our total ‘might’ against the North.”
