Big spoiler: test drive for ‘hypercar’ leaked
A NEW Mclaren has been tested on UK roads for the first time – almost nine months before the £750,000 hypercar is due to be delivered to 500 people.
The £750,000 Senna takes its name from Ayrton Senna, the legendary Brazilian racing driver.
It is described as a “ferociously quick” road-legal track car with a 4-litre, twinturbocharged engine delivering “savage performance”. The black car, which has been fitted with an enormous spoiler, was spotted on the M25 heading towards Woking, in Surrey. An image of the car that appeared to have been taken out the window of a vehicle using a smartphone appeared yesterday.
Mclaren unveiled the Senna last month and 499 models were quickly snapped up. The 500th model was auctioned off for £2 million.
Mclaren confirmed the M25 car was a prototype being driven back from a test facility to the Mclaren Technology Centre in Woking.
