Passengers on the rise at easyjet

Low-cost airline easyjet carried more passengers last month despite a surge in cancellations due to bad weather. The company carried 5.9m passengers in December, 5.5pc more than in 2016. Its load factor, an industry measure of how full planes are, climbed 1.5 percentage points to 91.4pc. However, growth fell from an 8.1pc surge in November as easyjet cancelled 580 flights, up from 330.
