Girl put into isolation by school for charity haircut

-

A mother was left “fuming” with her daughter’s school after teachers put the teenager in isolation when she shaved her hair off for charity.

Anneka Baldwin, 32, said Niamh, 14, had been “unfairly punished” for having a “grade one” in place of her long blonde locks which she had cut to raise funds for the Little Princess Trust. The school insists that the rules, which allow boys nothing shorter than a “grade two”, were “very clear”. But Ms Baldwin said: “I am so upset that the school has made her feel so low and put her into isolation because her hair needs to be one centimetre longer.
