Reunited with their cat ... 15 years after it went missing

- By Francesca Marshall

A FAMILY have been reunited with their cat – over 15 years after it went missing.

Winston disappeared in 2002 after Janet Barnes, its owner, moved in with Peter, her new husband, in Carlyon Bay, Cornwall.

The couple believed it was the move that caused it to disappear. Mr Barnes said: “We have no idea where he’s been

sir – A cat show has once again been called “the feline equivalent of Crufts” (report January 5).

Londoncats may be the highlight of the International Cat Association show calendar, but it has only been running since 2015, and at 200 cats is a relatively small show.

The Governing Council of the Cat Fancy, founded in 1910, is the largest registry of cats in the United Kingdom.

Its Supreme Show held annually in November is the only UK cat show which comes anywhere close to being a Crufts equivalent in size and history. It still has more than 600 entries.
