Anti-mafia raids reach Germany

Italian and German police have rounded up more than 100 suspects in an antimafia operation in the two countries with many of the 160 warrants targeting suspects already serving time for other crimes.

Eleven suspects, aged 36 to 61, were held in Germany after the ‘Ndràngheta mafia, based in the Calabria region of southern Italy, had expanded its racketeering operation to the country.
