Corbyn backs banned newspaper
Jeremy Corbyn says the Daily Mail would not be banned on renationalised railways as Boris Johnson described Virgin Trains’ decision not to stock the publication as “absurd”.
Virgin was accused of censorship after pulling the publication over its stance on immigration, gay rights and unemployment. But the paper received the support of Mr Corbyn, who said there would be “no bans on a publicly owned railway” – Labour’s long-stated ambition.
