Tongue tied President cagey about interview
Donald Trump has declined to say whether he would be interviewed by Robert Mueller, the special counsel, about his campaign’s Russian links.
The US president said it was “unlikely” he would be asked for an interview but added that he would “see what happens”. The stance is rather more opaque than one taken early last year, when Mr Trump said he was “100 per cent” willing to talk.
Mr Mueller has reportedly informed the White House he will request an interview.
