Helena Bonham Carter has all but confirmed that she will appear in The

Crown. The 51-yearold who won a Bafta for The King’s Speech had been rumoured to be taking over the role of Princess Margaret, pictured left, in the Netflix drama, and fuel has now been added to the fire after Vanessa Kirby, who starred as the Princess in the first two series, posted a picture on Instagram featuring the two standing side by side. The drama is planned to span six series, with an older cast taking over every two seasons, meaning Kirby, 29, and Claire Foy (the Queen) and Matt Smith (the Duke of Edinburgh), her co-stars, have appeared for the last time. Olivia Colman will replace Foy in the third series, it was announced.
