Charlotte looks after George, reveals Queen
PRINCESS CHARLOTTE loves to look after her older brother Prince George, the Queen has disclosed.
The Queen, great-grandmother to two-year-old Charlotte and four-yearold George, was awarding a Bible to a 10-year-old girl at Sandringham when she asked her whether she “looked after” her little sister.
When the mother of Emily Clay, who was honoured with the prize for her outstanding religious studies project, replied that it was “the other way round”, the Queen remarked: “It’s like that with Charlotte and George.”
The comments echo the sentiments of the Duchess of Cambridge, who last year declared that Charlotte was “the one in charge”.
Tom Clay, Emily’s proud father who received the same prize himself in 1990, said: “The Queen was implying that Charlotte keeps an eye out for George rather than the other way around.”
Charlotte, who has just started nursery, will have ample chance to look after her brother later this month, when the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge depart for a four-day tour in Sweden and Norway.
The trip will include a trip to a ski slope and a showcase of innovative designs from Ikea.
