‘Milky Bar Kid’ on the run after shooting, court told
A teenager shot a man dead at a petrol station over a comment that he looked “like the Milky Bar Kid”, a trial heard.
John Pordage, 34, was killed by a single shot to the chest at a BP garage in Chelmsford, Essex.
Tracy Ayling QC told Chelmsford Crown Court that either Mr Pordage or a friend of his had made the comment to Bradley Blundell, the alleged gunman. She said that Blundell was now on the run from police.
One 16-year-old boy, who cannot be named, denies Mr Pordage’s murder. Saul Stanley, 18, of no fixed address, denies possessing a sawn-off shotgun and a revolver, and possessing ammunition. The trial continues.
