Immunity stripped from Czech PM in fraud claim
Andrej Babis, the Czech prime minister, has been stripped of his immunity by parliament, allowing police to investigate his role in alleged subsidy fraud.
Mr Babis, a populist billionaire and the country’s second richest man, has been accused of hiding ownership of a farm to get €2million (£1.8m) in EU subsidies in 2007. He insists that the case is politically motivated.
