Two held on suspicion of murder after pub brawl
Two men have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man died following a fight in a pub.
Greater Manchester Police launched a murder investigation after officers were called to the Georgia Brown’s pub in Hindley, Wigan, shortly after 11.30pm on Saturday to reports a 51-year-old man had been assaulted. The man was given first aid at the scene but later died in hospital.
Two men, aged 27 and 29, have been arrested on suspicion of murder and remain in custody for questioning. The cause of death has not yet been established.
