Duchess to take mental health issues to schools

THE DUCHESS of Cambridge will today launch a website to help teachers navigate the mass of unreliable internet advice about mental health.

The Duchess will visit a school to announce the new initiative by the Heads Together campaign.

The website, Mentally Healthy Schools, is intended to help teachers talk to children about issues including bereavemen­t, anxiety eating disorders.

Kensington Palace said: “Teachers and staff play a pivotal role in a young person’s life, but they struggle to find the right resources to provide the most effective support for children.

“Up until now, the array of online resources has been difficult to navigate; it is often unclear whether items are expertly verified, and teachers are often unsure how appropriat­e the advice is for their age group.” and
