Owner finds £35,000 violin in pawn shop

-

A violinist has remarkably been reunited with her £35,000 violin after it fell off a moving coach and ended up being sold to a pawnbroker for £35.

Morven Bryce, from Chesterfield, was touring the UK with Jon Boden, the BBC Folk Award winner, and his band the Remnant Kings when her 1996 John Dilworth violin vanished from the luggage section of the bus. The 47-year-old launched an appeal to find it on Facebook. She received an email on Jan 4, six weeks since it first went missing, from Cash Converters in Edmonton, north London. The branch had two men enter that day looking to sell the violin for just £35.
