Rural banking

SIR – It was interesting to hear the Prime Minister state in this week’s Prime Minister’s Questions that people in rural areas who have lost their local bank branch can use their post office for banking.

After listening to PMQS, I went online to complete my HMRC selfassessment only to discover that I now cannot pay a tax bill at the post office.
