Therese, the spitting image of a perfect camel
sir – The camel at the Epiphany service in Salisbury, recalled by Jane Rasch (Letters, January 25), would have been Therese.
Owned by the Countess of Chichester, she is popular at local events and has even performed at Horse Guards before the Queen. Adorable though she is, when I borrowed her for a children’s festival, I found it wise to remember that camels tend to spit a lot.
