Billionaire fails in bid to take hotel firm private

Millennium & Copthorne will remain as a listed company after its majority owners failed in their attempts to take the hotel company private. Singaporean billionaire Kwek Leng Beng’s City Developments Ltd owns 65.2pc of M&C and tendered 620p a share for the rest, but the offer was blocked by minority shareholders.
