Why we feminists are to blame for everything!

-

According to Tatler, it is deeply uncool to refer to your husband as your “hubby”. I’m surprised to hear that it was ever cool. If I was to use it around my husband, I am pretty sure he would soon be my ex-hubby.

It’s one of those slang words like “crimbo”, “holibobs” or “interweb” that really puts your teeth on edge. It’s just so… cringe.

Which, incidentally, is an awful abomination of a word that should have last been used in 1994. See also: funky, manky, minging.

“Totes” needs to totes get in the nearest bin, as does “amazeballs”. What is so wrong with saying “totally” or “amazing”?

Does it really save time saying FYI, OMG or BTW, especially if you end up having to explain each acronym, as I do every time I make the mistake of using one in conversation with my dad?

Do you have any popular expressions that make you want to “quaff ” (another banned Tatler word…) a shot of arsenic? Please do send them to the email “addy” above.

And BTW, “moist” doesn’t count. Everybody hates “moist”.
