Bitcoin drops 15pc as sell-off continues

Cryptocurrency Bitcoin slid below $8,000 yesterday as worries about a regulatory clampdown globally sent investors scrambling to sell their cryptocurrencies. Bitcoin, the biggest and best-known cryptocurrency, plunged as much as 15pc to a twomonth low of $7,625 on the Bitstamp exchange yesterday, taking its losses this week to 25pc, which ranks as its biggest weekly loss since December 2013.
