Mad as a February hare

A pair of breeding hares appear to slug it out in the snowy Cairngorms as they get the jump on “mad March”. It comes as heavy snowfall and widespread ice led to another day of travel disruption – including multiple pile-ups on motorways and cancelled flights – amid warnings that Britain will be gripped by freezing weather all month. Snow is forecast to fall in almost every part of the country in the coming days, with a series of weather warnings in force.
