Today programme loses 300,000 listeners

BBC Radio 4’s Today programme has lost 300,000 listeners, according to figures from the industry body, Rajar.

The audience for the last three months of 2017 was 7.15million, compared to 7.45million during the same period in 2016.

Radio 3’s audience fell to 1.95million at the end of 2017, down from 2.12million the previous year. Radio 2 hosts Zoe Ball, Elaine Paige, Johnnie Walker and Huey Morgan attracted record audiences for their shows.
