MP urges Bananagrams to keep families together
Families should turn off the television, stop using social media and play games such as Bananagrams, a Tory MP has urged. Jerome Lefoy said his family bonded over the “brilliant” word game as he revealed that he had never actually owned a television.
The MP for Stafford said family breakdown is overlooked as a key factor in mental health problems for children. He called for cash to be diverted into NHS “couple therapy” in a bid to save more marriages.
He joked that the Cabinet could go in for Bananagrams, which shares features with Scrabble, adding it “might be more productive than some of the conversations that are had”.
