Favourable football results boost Ladbrokes

A host of poor results from Premier League favourites in December helped Ladbrokes Coral score a 4pc rise in revenues for 2017, ahead of its planned merger with GVC.

The bookmaker said it expected to hit the top end of expectations for operating profits. The update came as Ladbrokes published the documents for shareholders on its forthcoming merger with GVC ahead of a vote on the deal next month.
