Tusk force

Boris Johnson, the Foreign Secretary, inspects an elephant tusk in the customs department in Bangkok, Thailand, on the final day of his tour of Asia. Earlier this month Mr Johnson praised China for closing down its ivory markets – the largest in the world. He joined the WWF in calling for China’s neighbours, including Thailand, to follow suit in putting an end to the ivory trade in their countries.
