sir – The role of parents must be at the heart of the Government’s Internet Safety Strategy. Using advancing technology to tackle issues such as sexting, cyber-bullying and online grooming is not the be-all and end-all. We need internet safety to be second nature for parents.

Just as you’d put sunscreen on your child before they play in the sun, it’s a parent’s job to highlight the risks of the online world and set their children on the right path. This is the most sustainable way to make Britain the safest place to be online.
