Corbyn rails against rough-sleeper’s death
A homeless man has died outside Parliament, with Jeremy Corbyn saying the death was an illustration of inequality.
It is understood that some members of the Labour leader’s team were in contact with the man and would take him food.
Mr Corbyn is believed to have asked for flowers to be laid where the man was found in an underpass of Westminster Underground station yesterday at 7.33am.
Mr Corbyn wrote on Twitter: “The powerful can’t carry on walking by on the other side while people don’t have a home to call their own.”
