Woman killed herself after escort claims

-

 A former call centre worker who was branded an escort on social media killed herself after her mother threw her out of her home, an inquest heard.

Emma Matthews, 30, of Rhondda, South Wales, was accused of being paid for sex when screenshots of messages to men were taken from her phone and posted on Facebook. Two days later Miss Matthews was found hanged in a hotel room near Pontypridd, South Wales.

Coroner Andrew Barkley said accusations Miss Matthews was an “escort” were a cause of anxiety. Recording a narrative conclusion, he said that her “intention was unclear”.
