Crystal beer
SIR – Forget the pint glass (Letters, February 14): beer should be poured gently into a cut-crystal glass, such as a brandy balloon.
That way you can savour the taste and the wonderful aroma of the hop. My late father always maintained that drinking beer from a jam jar with a lip gave it more taste – but then, we are Southerners. Martin Thurston
