Playboy model says her affair with Trump was deliberately buried
A PLAYBOY model has gone public about her alleged affair with Donald Trump after she claims a magazine bought her story in order to bury it.
Karen Mcdougal, 46, says she began an affair with the US president after meeting him at a Playboy Mansion party in 2006, shortly after his wife Melania gave birth to their son, Barron.
Ms Mcdougal’s handwritten account of the affair was unearthed by Ronan Farrow, the journalist instrumental in exposing allegations against Harvey Weinstein. Ms Mcdougal said she could not comment for fear of violating an agreement she reached with AMI, the National Enquirer’s publishing company, but said she regretted signing a contract for rights to her story.
The account in Mr Farrow’s hands, which Ms Mcdougal confirmed she wrote, details how Mr Trump “imme- diately took a liking” to her, saying a partygoer told her: “He was all over you. I think you could be his next wife.”
Ms Mcdougal, a former Playmate of the Year, said she was offered $150,000 for her story. The National Enquirer never published it. Mr Farrow said this was a regular tactic used by David Pecker, AMI’S CEO, who describes the president as “a close personal friend”.
A spokesman for AMI told The Daily Telegraph: “The suggestion that AMI holds any influence over the president of the United States is laughable.”
A White House spokesman said: “This is just more fake news.”
