48pc rise for bank boss

Citigroup boss Michael Corbat has been handed a 48pc pay rise for 2017, despite the US bank having lowered its financial targets during the year. Mr Corbat is taking home $23m (£16m) for the year. Citigroup said it had considered pay levels of those in CEO roles at similar companies.
