Home is where the art is

A work by Peter Doig, Britain’s “most valuable living artist”, is to be auctioned with an estimated price of up to £18 million. The Architect’s Home

in the Ravine is being sold for the fifth time since 2002, with its estimated value more than doubling in the past five years.

If bidding at Sotheby’s goes beyond £20 million, it will challenge Doig’s Rosedale

(1991), which established a new $28.8 million auction record for a living British artist last year.

It will be sold at Sotheby’s Contemporary Art Evening Auction on March 7.
