Mice infested famous curry club’s kitchen
♦ The London hotel housing the India Club restaurant has been fined over a mice infestation.
Rodents burrowed into the kitchen of the Strand Continental Hotel through the ceiling and droppings were found in food preparation areas in 2015 and 2016, Westminster magistrates were told.
The hotel admitted four breaches of environmental health regulations and was fined £1,300 and ordered to pay costs of £1,352.
Open for more than 50 years, the restaurant was set up by the India League as a symbol of friendship between India and the UK.
