Elevated earrings are still the jewellery statement to make; Mulberry’s took the form of exotic crystal birds, Emilia Wickstead modernised pearls, and Peter Pilotto mismatched shards of Perspex with enormous gold hoops. Shoe rules Will you glide daintily into the new season in a pair of Erdem’s pearl-trimmed kitten heels, or stomp on through in Burberry’s chunky “dad” trainers? There’s a toss-up to be made between heavy and delicate footwear styles across the board. Mary Katrantzou’s hybrids, which layered velvet Mary-jane uppers over white patent ankle boots, will let you tread the line between the two.
