Nigella-approved vegan yogurt recalled
A company selling vegan yogurt endorsed by Nigella Lawson and Ella Woodward has had to withdraw its products from sale after they were found to contain traces of milk.
CO YO has had to withdraw all its flavours of dairy-free coconut milk yogurt – because it contains “undeclared” cows’ milk. The yogurt is enjoyed as a dairy-free alternative by vegans across the country and has been championed by Fearne Cotton and Lawson, the TV presenters, and Ella Woodward, the food blogger.
CO YO said it was “devastated”, while the Food Standards Agency said the yogurt was a health risk to anyone with an allergy or intolerance to dairy.
