Australian deputy PM resigns

Barnaby Joyce, Australia’s deputy prime minister, has resigned after being accused of sexual harassment in the wake of disclosures of an affair with his media adviser, who is pregnant. Mr Joyce, 50, leader of the National party, part of the ruling coalition, denied the claims and hit out at “leaking” by his foes.
