WIDESPREAD LAWLESSNESS

Conditions in Ireland are going from bad to worse. Further serious conflicts between police and rioters are reported from Clare and Roscommon, where many persons have been injured. Cattle-driving, land raiding, tree-felling, and highway robbery are among the forms of lawlessness which has set all authority at defiance.
